Really really disappointing. We wanted to love it and didn't even like it. Food. Service and management didn't have a clue! Sad

We had dinner tat Apeiro's tonight as part of a group of 6 guests. We were very anxious to try their new summer $20 per person summer menu. After all, as year-rounders, we pay their regular prices all winter. What they don't tell you is that the one appetizer is shared as well as 2 half portions of the main course and a single shared dessert for $20 per person. Since my husband and I do not love the same things, we couldn't partake in this so called "special menu". I think that their advertising is completely deceptive for this special. Many local restaurants state up front that meals are shared but not Apeiro's...the menu selections we were given for this were also much smaller than the ones I read online minutes before we went there. The answer is, don't believe what you read. The waiter said that it was changed so I asked if this happened within the last half hour. Service was very slow for our appetizers and then one meal came out before one guest even finished her salad. The server who brought our dinners had no clue who to serve which main course to and kept asking "who gets this". Very unprofessional for an upscale restaurant! After the check came and all 3 couples put the money in the bill to pay, the waiter came over and said he forgot to charge the $4 for coffee and if we didn't pay, he would be fired. In the very competitive Delray/Boca marketplace, there is no reason to ever go back there again. This is not my first visit there but it is probably my last. One bad experience is all I need.

I had been waiting with great anticipation for this restaurant to open and had my first dinner there last night. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the food is exceptional. We decided to try a number of small plates to get a taste of many of the dishes they have on the menu. We started with the beef carpaccio which was very good. We had the Bal Harbor mussels and the broth was so good my husband had to refrain from sopping all of it up with the bread. We decided to also try the bacon wrapped dates. I wasn't sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised with the smoky and sweet flavors that came out in the dish. We had a lamb kebab. Lamb was tender and the tzatziki sauce that came with it did a great job of tempering the spices that were put on the kebab. My 11-year-old had the margarita flatbread which he promptly ate every morsel of. The flatbread was thin and crispy with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. We ended the meal with vanilla gelato for my son and the citrus crème brûlée for my husband and me. The crème brûlée was one of the best I've ever had. We will definitely be making this one of our favorite spots and will be back.

I can count on one hand the times I have had a dinner where every dish was better than the next, and each plate was perfectly seasoned. Frankly, I am always leery when a chef doesn't set his tables with salt and pepper shakers. It's either because he's that good or that arrogant. In the case of Apeiro Delray and Chef David Blonsky, he's that good. Eating around his small plates portion of the menu, you see why this chef may have one of the best palates in the country. Ahi Tuna tartare with avocado is done many places, but when served with Chef's key lime mustard sauce, it takes on a whole new meaning. The acidity of the lime brightens the fish while the mustard gives it a smooth finish of tang that compliments the lime in a way you wouldn't expect. Try the Grilled Octopus, and again you'll be treated to a superbly prepared plate with octopus that is charred and wonderfully tender. The Lamb Ribs also don't disappoint, with a spice rub and pistachio yogurt accompaniment that again balance the flavors in a utopian way. Try the Crispy Eggplant with grilled peppers and pomegranate-agro dolce and you'll again try to figure out why you never thought to pair these things together. The house cured Bacon-wrapped Dates served with a Sofrito and chorizo are a delight. The chorizo melts together with the dates in a harmony of sweet and spicy, with a hint of salt from the bacon mixed in. Perfectly balanced flavors and food that is so well seasoned, it makes you wonder if the Chef Blonsky made a deal with the devil for a perfect palate. And hats off to the rest of the kitchen brigade for being able to execute and prepare these flavorful creations flawlessly. I can't wait to go back and eat through the rest of the menu. Don't walk, RUN to this place.

The atmosphere was spectacular; the phenomenal service mixed with exquisite cuisine blew us away. We will be back again and again. We started with the Ahi Tuna, which was delicious. Highly recommend this new restaurant.

We ate there last Saturday night. The bacon wrapped dates were incredible, so was the lamb burger! Our bartender Tifany was friendly and gave us excellent service!!!! We definitely will be back!

Enjoyed the summer special prix fix menu. Pork chops, mussels and the bombolonis for $26!!!! Best food and value anywhere. See you again soon.

Save your money!!!Overpriced and no good. Terrible service and that's coming from someone who served tables and bartended through most my education.

One of the best restaurants I have been to in Boca! The ambiance, service and food are absolutely flawless. I had the pita and hummus had a rich taste and the meatball sandwich was unbelievable! Chocolate cake was the best chocolate I've had! Must try

This place will probably close! The food was disgueting from the eggplant meatballs to the steak gyro. Salad was warm my sons meal was chicken kabobs & gross. The service sucked too!

From the moment you walk in you know you are about to experience something special. The Spanish grilled octopus is over the top. I could eat it everyday. The pita bread is freshly baked and seasoned perfect. The Duroc pork chop is enough for two people and the roasted carrots with kale, delicious. Even if you have no room for dessert you need to order the coconut gelato. We will be back even though we live a thousand miles away.

I hate to slam a new business, but knowing the ownership of Apeiro is the same as Burt and Max's - they were totally unprepared for customers. The hostess outside the restaurant encouraged us to dine with them, and when asked about vegan options for one of our guests, she informed us the menu was marked "V" for vegan offerings. I was with a party of 5, and we were seated promptly in the flashy restaurant. A FULL bar displayed every spirit one could imagine. We were given a complimentary freshly baked pita bread and 3 mediterranean inspired dips to enjoy. Our waitress took our drink order first. She suggested a "French Sangria" which one of us ordered, and I ordered the "Smoky Juan" from the Specialty Cocktail Menu. Both were promptly sent back to the kitchen. The "Smoky Juan", which boasted Mezcal, pomegranate juice, habanero- honey simple syrup, lemon and lime - tasted like an ASHTRAY. The waitress said "maybe the bartender didn't mix it quite right". Seriously, I looked to see if someone had put out a cigar in it, and the "French Sangria" was soapy tasting, and very confusing. A second choice from the Cocktail Menu was only somewhat better - the "Pomegranate Pear Cosmo" - had an artificial melted candy flavor. I used it to wash the terrible smoke taste from my mouth. Inspection of the menu revealed the hostess was incorrect, and the "V" on the menu was to denote Vegetarian, not Vegan choices - nearly all of them were predominantly cheese based dishes - unsuitable for vegans. We placed our order, and waited, and waited. I informed our waitress that we were heading to a movie, and wanted to have our food before the movie actually started, she said she would see if our food was ready. Dinner was served - nearly all of us at the same time. One Margherita flatbread pizza - baked in the open oven by the entrance was OK. Chicken kabob received neither positive or negative reviews. The "Prime SteakBurger" was deemed "good" by the 14 year old. I, the Vegan, ordered the Gazpacho soup and "Smashed Beet Salad" minus the cheese. They were both very good, but extremely small portions leaving me feeling completely unsatisfied. But, the clincher was my date, who ordered the Lamb Burger, which about 1/3 of the way into the sandwich had him running to the men's room to projectile vomit. The "illness" was so severe, one of the managers knocked on the bathroom stall to see if he was alright. No. Not alright. Not even close. French fries were also sent back - cold and stale. Ketchup for the burger and fries required 3 separate requests to be brought to the table. Considering there was tremendous overstaffing, nothing got done right. It's not enough to ask if a meal is satisfactory if you can do nothing to make it right. Poor service, albeit friendly. Fair food quality. Terrible cocktail menu (their bar "experts" need to totally rethink their signature drinks - they suck). Prices would be ok IF you could actually EAT and DRINK this stuff... but alas, not. In the end, I paid the bill, and couldn't get out of there fast enough. Never again.

Varied but well-curated menu of light, fresh items -- and all of them delicious. You can't go wrong with the grilled Spanish octopus, bunuelo (good enough to be a dessert), whole branzino, Apeiro spreads (and homemade pita!), and rich but not-too-filling orecchiette. The coconut gelato is a must also. Perfect for Florida weather.

The food here is amazing and the service is great. I know you are all programmed with the answer about the fly problem, but it's disgusting. I had a large party with me and we all loved our food and service but no one will be back for a while because of the flies swarming our heads and landing on our plates and cups. As customers were paying for expensive food, so figure it out... Or many will not be back unfortunately.

  • Scott M.

Ill start with the menu, it needs work but I knew that because I picked up one a few days before trying it out. The service is mediocre but thats ok its new and of course there will be a learning curve for the staff. I am going to try it again now that they've been open for a few weeks and hopefully be able to write a positive review.

My husband and I spent date night at this new restaurant in Delray because we love trying new cuisine and Mediterranean sounded perfect. We loved the octopus and the gazpacho and the pork chop is perfection. Everyone was so nice especially the manager that stopped by to check on us. His name was Drew and he was very sweet and charming. He found out I loved peanut butter so he insisted that I try the Peanut Butter Napoleon for dessert. He said it was "life changing" and he was so right. We already made reservations for brunch - bottomless mimosas!!! Great job Apeiro.

Went last night with a party of 7. The 1st thing I will say, on a Monday night to run out of one of the most expensive things on the menu is not good, but not to even tell us unless someone orders it, even worse! I had the lamb burger that came with lettuce tomato amd onion and asked to sub the fries for a greek salad. Burger came out black as a hockey puck with no flavor. When I asked I was told well, how do you want it cooked, you never told me. Well... you never asked me. When it came out the 2nd time it was juicier, but still NO flavor. Get this, the lamb burger came out with no lettuce, tomato or onion. I was told I dont get that as I subsitiuted a greek salad! WTF?? Its a garnish. Whatever! Do yourself a favor and go to Ethos is Coconut Creek! Thats good food!

I went to Apeiro last night for dinner and man was it great. From the moment I walked in, it was a great experience . I had the bar harbor mussels to start and rack of lamb for the main course. Both were so flavorful and hit the spot. Will definitely be coming back. Oh yeah, loved the decor!!

I highly recommend this Delray Market place restaurant. It is a Mediterranean and Greek restaurant that we enjoyed immensely! The ambience is cool, comfortable and energetic. Service was very good. Everyone there is very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. During the summer months now, they have a $20 three course Pre-Fixe menu that is well worth it. We had kale Caesar salad and mussels as starters that were delicious. The portions were plentiful. I paid $3 extra for the Branzino that was one of the best I have had. Wonderful seasonings. Beef kabob was good. The choice of deserts were several flavors of gelato or Bomboloni with Nutella and butterscotch dipping sauces. We chose the Bomboloni and it was a very good choice. I am looking forward to coming back.

Service was excellent from start to finish! Leonardo was our server, he highlighted several of his favorite menu items for my friend and I without me asking, which I love. We started with the pistachio, eggplant, and hummus spread of freshly baked pita. The pistachio was by far my favorite, the other two were so delicious, but I will come back for the pistachio alone! We also had the grilled shrimp and pesto flatbread, the flavor was amazing ( I love pesto) but I would have liked to see char marks on the shrimp, they looks boiled to the naked eye. Next came the bacon wrapped dates, one of my all time favorite apps that I cook for dinner parties at home. These were covered in red peppers, which kind of threw my taste buds off, but they were still sweet and savory none the less! And lastly we had the buneulo (sp?) a flaky and light puff pastry with a large amount of prosciutto drizzled with balsamic, and cheese. My friend loved these, I thought they were ok, I would have rather tried something different. For dinner we both ordered the lamb kabobs, ground lamb with chorizo for a little kick! It was wonderful! Tzatziki was on point, loved the little salad it came with! We followed dinner with two desserts, although we were both ready to pop. I had the apple crisp with cinnamon ice cream! So good! Tastes better than it looks! My friend had the donuts that you inject with either Nutella, caramel, or berry sauce. Those were soooo good! The reminded me of the donuts I use to buy at the fair when I was growing up :) We both live in west palm and it took us about 35-40 min to get here, and would gladly do it again!

I'm not one to complain easily. Really. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was trendy and contemporary. However it took our server almost 45 minutes to find a way to light the candle at our table and they offered us pita bread only right before our entrees arrived, not when we sat down, as they should have. The other couple we were with ordered a salad with no tomato or onion and it arrived with both tomato and onion. Our lamb rib appetizer was extremely fatty. That being said, the lamb burger was very tasty and the choc pb napoleon dessert was extremely good. All items were aesthetically pleasing with good presentation. We may give it another shot.

Best thing was the service, or server Leonardo was great and the food didn't take long to arrive. We had the lamb burger, which was OK but too salty, so were the fries. The decoration is really nice very modern and clean. We may come back to try other dishes since the service was so good.

I want to update my review of Apiero. I had given it 2 stars based on the slow service and inconsistency in the food preparation. I immediately was contacted by the general manager of the restaurant wanting to know about our experience and the reason for the low rating. Showing me, they care. This is VERY important to me. I eat out a lot, but I don't post a review of everything. Just when I'm either impressed or disappointed. Here I was disappointed with my first experience with Apiero, and after noticing the effort of the manager, I am totally impressed. I appreciated the effort the restaurant is working on putting forth a quality restaurant. I also want to mention that I was telling a few friends in my community about the experience with Apiero, the bad and then the good. One couple just told me during a recent visit, the server made a point of saying the kabobs are made of dark meat...something showing me they indeed listen, as one complaint was the chicken kabob was dry, as white meat can quickly dry out. Bravo, Rappaport. I'm still a big fan! Thank you.

The place looks great, beautiful outside bar, lots of sophisticated patrons; but the food is lacking something. Might be over creativity on the part of the chef. Service runs hot and cold. Been there twice and always see new help. Employee turnover??? This place is still new and just might need to get the kinks out and make a few refinements to the menus. The owners operate several very successful restaurants in the area. I'm sure they will get this place on the right "customer" track.

Apeiro is a a beautiful restaurant with delicious appetizers and wonderful entrees. They have great drinks and service. It is impeccably clean. I especially enjoy the appetizers such as steak and egg. We had a great time. I'm looking forward to returning soon.

Firstly, the decor is great. Very colorful and pleasant. Server Lisa was also fantastic. Kitchen was really slow and when our food arrived it was luke warm. Had so send part of it back. This seemed to be a common problem as we also heard Lisa apologizing to other patrons about the same thing. We were there Friday evening around 8:30pm. Will give it one more try sometime.

Ate there for the first time today. Had three bar plates and two drinks. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would like to try the full menu inside soon Enjoyed the Lamb slider. The clams were good but I really missed having some mussels. The wine pour is generous. Checked out the small private room for possible business meeting. Need a spot for small video screen. Could do a presentation to 15 or so. Private kitchen service door looks good.

Although I haven't yet had a sit down dinner here, the apps I had at a recent event were fab! The octopus was very good and the eggplant appetizer balls were excellent! My friend ordered mussels which were HUGE and very tasty! I'm looking forward to going back and trying some dinner offerings.

I have eaten here 3 times now. Each time the experience has gotten better. The small plates were delicious and that's the way to go. They are appetizers that are made for sharing with another, so a few small plates and you get a wonderful sampling of the menu. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We will be back

I don't give 5 stars lightly but today's brunch experience at Apeiro truly deserves it. Our server, Justin, was friendly, professional and attentive without being overly so. He described dishes and drinks with enthusiasm and good knowledge. Having unlimited mimosas was a treat. And, quite delicious. We had been to Apeiro for dinner before so there are occasional misses on the menu but, somehow, today everything was a hit. Grilled octopus was incredibly tender and juicy with potatoes that were crisp and with an incredible sauce. My sweet potao, chorizo hash with poached eggs was perfectly cooked. It was a terrific portion size too. My husband had an omelette that was stuffed with vegetables and had a side of bacon that was the best I've ever had.. meaty, crispy and smokey as it should be. The eggs benediction Italian style was the other dish and while I didn't try that, it looked amazing. Sadly, we were all way too full for the incredible sounding desserts. And my mom already decided wed make a trip back just for some of those. Besides Justin, both managers on duty were quite attentive, checking on how we were doing and if everything was to our liking. For us, this was one of the best brunch experiences we'd ever had and I'll be looking forward to returning.

I was invited to a cocktail and appetizer party last Wednesday. It was my first time at Apeiro. I was very surprised at how beautiful the space was. Most restaurants spend very little on their build -outs anymore. The staff made me feel right at home. My drink and appetizer service was wonderful. The only reason for a rating of 4 was that I didn't have dinner to fully experience Apeiro. I hope to go again. I want to try the octopus and a main course. As for the appetizers, the dips were great and the Naan like bread was warm and very tasty plain.

I have to drop them a star. 9:00pm on a Sunday during SEASON?! The food is excellent. The bar divine. Close this early? That is not fine. Even the tight-fisted Burt & Max stay open for the 7:30 movie crowd at the end of the center. Food is five star. Service is excellent. When you operate an eatery in a center in a farm field that lives or dies with the movies, do not anger the cinematic gods. Bar manager: some of the most affluent people in the world live here. How about inventory that rivals the food? Top shelf more than off-the-shelf. And Angels Envy. pretty please?

I go up to Delray quite frequently for business meetings and I always make sure to stop in at Apeiro when I'm there. The staff have always been extremely friendly and the servers are all knowledgable and passionate about the menu. Last time I went in I had the branzino and it was cooked and plated beautifully. For brunch I highly recommend the caramelized waffles or salmon flatbread.

Overall positive experience. Our waiter was well versed in the menu. The Spread Trio was fantastic...so much so that we needed extra pita. The beef kebab was tender and flavorful and the mashed potatoes were very fresh. The Spiced Lamb Kabob left a bit to be desired. Instead of whole lamb chunks, it was an elongated ground lamb patty on a kebab. Very flavorful, but a small portion and not quite "enough". Will definitely be back for dessert and to further explore the menu.

Oh my goodness. I have died and gone to heaven. I am hoping that heaven has a huge serving of Bar Harbor mussels drowning in a cream-based (light!) saffron sauce so delicately yet tastefully spiced. Sitting atop this mountain of goodness are 3 pieces of perfect crust bread to drench up all the beautiful saffron broth. I also had a blood orange Margarita along with some of the best dipping items I have ever had such as an award winning (trust me, there will be awards) eggplant caponata. Don't walk. Run. And prepare yourself for a culinary experience that you will keep on tasting in your dreams.

This restaurant just recently opened up about a month ago in the Delray Marketplace across from Burt & Maxs. We love coming on the weekdays to this area as it tends to be not so packed but since we were meeting with friends decided - why not? One thing either come early to find parking or after 9:30 as it gets extremely packed and you might take a while to look for parking. We sat at the bar because the place was popping at 7:30pm and Erica the bartender attended us and she was awesome and on point! Drinks were on point and her food recommendations were wow! My wife loves the pita bread appetizer and the falafel balls and I had the roasted chicken with potatoes and I was left amazed!!! Those potatoes were amazing and the chicken actually only had the one bone from the chicken and taste was spectacular!!! Definitely recommend this place and ask for Erica because she was simply awesome!!! They now have specials from 10pm - 1am with house music and a nice ambience. Not as packed at this time and honestly one of the few places around town that serve good food and are open late!!!

As you know from all my previous reviews I very rarely complain, but this culinary experience is one that I must make my fellow Yelpers aware of. It was a Saturday night and our group was a party of five. We were informed that this is officially their second day being open, with a 2 week soft opening. There is no excuse for the level of service, food quality or lack of concern for their patrons. This establishment is owned by the same owners of "Burt and Max's" directly across from them ~ A word of advice ~ ...better look at your new business model and revamp your complete bar and kitchen recipes. There is no excuse for such poor service, horrible drink combinations and sub par food. ~ Everything from a very greasy lamb burger, cold pizza flat bread, ice cold french fries on all three entrees ~ blah, blah, blah ~ there is nothing good that I can say. Their staff was very apologetic, asked us if we liked to replace any items that we were not satisfied with, but no matter what their kitchen churned out it just got worse. ~ Always informing our designated Manager Drew of issues that we were experiencing. (sigh) After 60 minutes of one of the worst dinning experiences I have ever had! I became so "violently ill" over my greasy, under cooked lamb burger, that a manager approached me when in was in a bathroom stall to be sure I was still alive. Upon exiting, I was asked if I was okay and I quickly informed him specifically of my meal in detail and that manager reply was, "We will inform the kitchen!" ~ (OMG) Botton Line ~ Apeiro Kitchen better close it's doors for awhile and come to the realization that this is not how food should be prepared. ~ We paid our bill in full with no reconciliation by their staff or management. ~

Had been here before and we were very happy. Arrived tonight with friends looking forward to another evening of good food. What a change. Lousy meal tonight. My husband and I waited almost an hour after being seated for our lamb burgers to be delivered. When they finally arrived they were very undercooked (red red raw). So we returned them to the kitchen. Sat and watched our table mates complete their meals. When the burgers were eventually re-delivered we were each given the others' plate. We realized this as we began to eat because one had been bitten in to, and one had been sliced prior to sending them back. Oops! And to top it off, mine was overly well cooked on the outside AND STILL raw on the inside. Slow or no service, missing utensils, no tzatziki on the side. What's up Rappaport Group? Off season, not crazy busy. We expect better.

NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME The kitchen needs to get its act together. Appys for four arrived in two waves: three at once and then 20 minutes later after asking our waitress to check with the kitchen. All the food was good except the special pasta which was too heavy for an appy, tough pasta, dry salmon mousse, loaded with butter sauce. Entrees same problem: 3 at once and the one later after asking the waitress to check on it. We were generously comped dessert. Spent almost three hours there.

Dinner for 7 tonight at Aperios. Absolutely one of the worst meals any of us had in a long time. Surprised that this restaurant group could ruin so many dishes. Black and white pasta Provençal with mussels, clams barely cooked. Pasta would have been al dente if they cooked it longer. No taste. Rice with Bronzino - dry fish and hard rice. 3 dishes of each, none done properly. They gave us chocolate cake to make up for it. Cake was good, probably because they didn't make it. Manager came over, talked to us, never came back. Maybe he went for the cake too. So disappointing. Especially because they didn't care. Plenty of open tables inside...

Over priced ! Very and I mean very small potions. Worst Rappaport restaurant ever! Parking beyond sucks at Delray Marketplace. Valet Parking rip off they take over most of lots and charge too much! A place for people who don't care. Stay away. Horrible Horrible,Horrible. ,!!

This place is on point! The bartenders here are the BEST: ask for: Erica, Nadine, Yasemin, and Tiffany! I practically live here now! They all go above and beyond! Excellent service and amazing food! What else can you ask for? Try their hummus appetizer, the flat breads and of course their huge meatball!

I was visiting a friend over the weekend. She wanted to me to try Mediterranean food and took me to this restaurant. I must say, I was not disappointed. Not only was the food so yummy, the service was on point, and the atmosphere was great. I will definitely visit again when in town.

This place blew away all my expectations. Our waitress Lisa was awesome, she truly loves this food and it made our whole group excited to order. The food with each dish just got better and better. The fresh pasta is to DIE for, branzino had great flavor and was cooked perfectly, and the meal ended with hands down the best gelato I've ever had (toasted coconut) and donuts that everyone ate and were silent eating them they were so good. Don't be turned off by the price because the portions are size able and the ingredients are fresh and delicious. So excited this place is in our neighborhood!

SO HAPPY to have this mediterranean hotspot open up in the area! Right as you walk in, they have this cool olive oil chandelier and a pizza oven straight ahead. We had such a great meal and a cool experience. If you don't love the pita bread, you're crazy. I want to replicate it in my own kitchen, but I know that is near impossible. Get the trio of dips... you won't regret it. The green pistachio dip was my favorite, but the others are tasty as well. The Burrata was a nice starter, and I liked the roasted apples they paired with it. I was afraid the combination would be too bland, but it turned out to be really satisfying. Also, we got the kale ceasar salad and now I can never eat kale another way! (normally I dislike it). Lastly, I got the crispy chicken paillard. Not anything healthy... so don't think about it that way! But it was SO good. The chicken was pounded quite thin and served alongside a salad... good portion size. Excited to come back and try more food!!

I don't give out 5 stars easily. So 4 stars is appropriate. Perhaps 4.5 stars Nevertheless we stopped in after a movie and had some bites at the bar. The grilled octopus was so good I ordered it again. My wife's salad was great. The service was very good. The bar was stocked but I just had wine. Will definitely be back again. Parking at Delray Marketplace is a disaster. Even the valet parking was full.

Beautiful place with so much potential. So disappointed! Food lacked taste: veggie flatbread had no seasoning in the tomato sauce so we asked for salt, pepper and chili flakes. Chicken paillard was chunks of over cooked chicken instead of a thin pounded chicken breast. Service was slow. Crowd was 75+. We were given dessert on the house when we mentioned how over cooked and dry the two chicken meals tasted--they tried, but fell short.

I'm trying to figure out where these good reviews are coming from? Friends and family of Rapport group? This place is SOOOO cool looking and should be good but it's not! It's almost offensive to go out to dinner around here anymore. I feel like every restaurant in Southern Florida has such a poor audience that no one cares what type of food they turn out. We came for the summer prix fix. For one, they SHOULD tell you that these are HALF portions when they are going to put something on special. This should be advertised since it's not all that great of a special when you know they are half portions. Second problem was the service. I wish I had the name of the server we had last night but he was awful. He couldn't really give us one positive description of the food we inquired about. He only said we should order off the menu as the Prix Fix menu was half portions. Another beef... I am so sick of these restaurants that claim to be a culinary delight but refuse to put salt and pepper on EACH table! It's very frustrating to have to ask for salt and pepper while someone tries to hunt them down all the while your food is getting cold. My dinner was all but gone by the time the pepper was brought to my table. After several minutes I had another server come up to me and ask if they could take the pepper. Hey Apeiro... GET SOME SALT AND PEPPER for the tables! Biggest problem was the food (which should be with this rating). I had the chicken kabobs, husband had the chopped chicken salad and my friend had the flatbread. My chicken kabobs were burnt to a crisp on the outside (every bite) and the middle of the chicken on 2 pieces was pink inside. This is clearly the cook's fault. My husband's chopped chicken salad only had the ribs of romaine lettuce. It was a pitiful FULL order salad. Not the one on the Prix Fix, which the waiter urged my husband to get as the Prix Fix salad was much smaller. This salad was TINY!!! And this is an entree salad!? It was offensive and so disappointing. My friend's flatbread was cold and the sauce tasted like tomato paste on dough. There was nothing that was even somewhat good about our dinner. The service as very poor. We never received refills on our water. We could not get salt and pepper on the table until we were almost done with our meals. I asked for bread for the table twice. When we received our bill, it was wrong and had to be corrected. This dining experience took just a bit over 2 hours. It was so disappointing and we had such high hopes. I'm tired of dining at these restaurants that are a part of a group, like Rapport, and thinking it might be good because of the money put into the aesthetics. I sure wish these places would put more money into their staff. Especially their chefs! Hire some real chefs and turn out some good, hot food! It is ridiculous to pay $100 for a meal for 2 and not have everything perfect.

It is such a treat to have Chef David Blonsky in Delray Beach! Apeiro is a much needed restaurant in the Delray area, and definitely did not disappoint. Must orders are the gazpacho, crispy eggplant, linguini and chocolate peanut butter dessert. The linguini was mouthwatering delicious, and the dessert was absolutely heavenly! Service was excellent and the new restaurant is beautiful. Highly recommend.

Eclectic decor with blah food slightly overpriced. I'll stick with Burt and Maxs next door. Same owner. Better fries and prices. Same terrible parking for lunch with no valet. Had spaghetti with meat sauce since I wasn't sure they could sear the salmon right. Better choice as my friends salmon looked over cooked and dry. He opted for the truffle fries which he tasted one and that was it $2 up charge for this. Wife had lamb which was a sausage and not very exciting. Most annoying was the lighting dimmed and raised a number of times while we had dinner. At coffee time the manager asked if all was ok and we told him about the lighting situation being annoying. He knew this and made some lame excuse. It is lame for a place that has been open at least 6 weeks. I'll go back only if others want to. Not going to be my choice.

Absolutely horrible experience. Half of the food was inedible and when speaking to the management they were rude, obnoxious and very unwelcoming. Living in south Florida there are a number of better Mediterranean restaurants with MUCH better customer service, food and ambiance. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone which is such a shame as I am a long time patron of Burt & Max's. If the Rapaport group wants any chance of surviving, their management better shape up (the actual wait staff was as accommodating as they could be - the only redeeming part of our dinner). If asking for food that is edible when you're paying top dollar is too much of a problem for the condescending manager (Ricardo I think his name was) I dealt with and the customers are getting below average food, this place will not last very long. DO NOT GO HERE.

We had a really nice time this Saturday evening. The restaurant is really nice and well decorated in white furniture. The food was good as well. My boyfriend had the pork and loved it. I had the mahi mahi kabobs. It was ok; needed salt. Beware there is bacon in the dish, which wasn't stated on the menu. The service was outstanding!! Lauren was an awesome waitress with great recommendations. The Manager came over and asked how we were enjoying our meal. Will probably visit again.

I'm always on the hunt for good Mediterranean restaurants and I definitely was not disappointed when I stumbled upon this gem. It's not your "traditional" Mediterranean spot but the chef does an amazing job of putting modern twists on classic dishes and pulling influences from all over. My friend and I went and sampled a bunch of the small plates and loved all of them. I also tried the orecchiette on a separate visit and was completely blown away. For dessert you HAVE to try the chocolate martini - it's decadent, flavorful, light and the perfect way to end your meal. Our server was extremely sweet and she made some great recommendations on small plates to try. The ambiance is great as well. Will definitely be returning and recommending to friends in the area!

Nice looking place, fair, expensive food, unfriendly waiters and uncaring bartenders. Outside bar hot and attempts to shade it does not help it from the unprotected sun area. Expensive. We would be surprised if it survives the summer.

We have gone to every restaurant in the market place and enjoyed a couple of them. Apiero opened recently and we thought we would give it a try. The decor is fantastic , very modern and clean. We were greeted immediately by smiling hostesses, and friendly staff. We decided to sit outside, I was rather surprised at night it was almost a romantic ambiance. The servers was knowledgeable of the menu and quick to respond to our requests . They had a decent wine list ( which I like) with good prices, we ordered a bottle of the predator red zin (great wine for the price). The menu was priced according to the general area and they have many styles of dishes to keep your mouth watering. I went light and had the kale caesar which was fresh and delicious with just the right amount of lemon to compliment the kale, I also ordered the lamb ribs, they were fatty but cooked very well served with a garlic mint sauce over the lamb that will leave you begging for the recipe . My fiancé ordered the clam linguini , the pasta was undercooked but the clams were fresh and had a delightful flavor of garlic and white wine with a hint of butter. Being the place is still new I'm sure they have a few quirks to work out in the kitchen like the undercooked pasta they served , but I will say it is one of the better restraunts in the marketplace and we had a unexpectedly nice evening here.

My wife and I went to see if we could get into the new restaurant on a Friday night. was a long wait but the high tops outside by the bar are first come first serve so we went out and found a table by a wall to block some of the cool breeze. Waiter was great and the food was as well , a lot of different dishes . Prices are a little high for the portions they serve but again the food was excellent. Must make reservations especially on a Friday , Saturday night. Definitely will go back again. They were not able to take my preferred loyalty card.

I have been here twice. First time my wife and I took my best friend there who just flew in from CA. We had a reservation and were given a crappy table. I watched a group of four complain and bitch, without a reservation, and they got a great table on a Friday night. Therefore, those of us who planned in advance, got a shitty table. Typical south Florida. Second time was spontaneous, on a Tuesday evening, with my wife. Decent table, but when I asked questions about wine on the wine list, I was informed by our server that she was only twenty years old and knew nothing of the wine list. We also wanted to use the summer menu. I understood but our server was in the dark. I am rating three stars because I am trying to be nice. The food was pleasant but far from transcendent.

Inconsistent. The first time, the food was very good and I thought how great to have this quality of restaurant in West Delray. However, my second visit was disappointing, as the same meal not only had a different taste but was really overcooked. Had I not been trying to enjoy a nice, no fuss evening, I may have even sent it back because at $24 for a half chicken, you should not have to pry off edible pieces.

A great place to eat, and lots of gluten-free choices! I was visiting Florida from snowy Massachusetts for my birthday and my sister-in-law and sister took me as a surprise. The food and atmospherre were wonderful. We all started with Blood Orange Margaritas that were perfectly balanced and delicious. Then we had the bacon wrapped dates and Burrata. I often have trouble finding GF appetizers but they had a great selection. The dates were a treat, although I would have liked the bacon a little crisper. That is the only criticism there will be in this review, because I loved everything. I had the salmon, with a cripsy skin that I could have eaten all night (can you tell I like crispy?) It came with spicy cauliflower, my favorite vegetable, cooked to a light crunch. I ordered a side of the onion mashed potatoes, and again, I could have eaten just that and been a happy camper. I was then surprised with an off-menu gluten-free dessert (family had called ahead and let them know it was my birthday and that I was GF). It was an apple crisp with a custard-type filling, crisp apples sliced thin, caramel and nuts. I wish more restaurants offered so many elelgant GF choices, although things are getting better.

A major culinary disappointment. We sat outside and it was lovely - great setting, nice music, comfortable furniture. Server was lovely, but couldn't get the order right. Food was not good. Dates wrapped in bacon were tasty, but the sauce was drowned in WAY TOO MUCH oil. Grilled chicken atop a salad was so dried out and hard that it could have been used as a weapon. manager offered to bring out replacement which was much better, but it took over 20 minutes; by which time we were all done with our main courses. Lamb burger was requested Pink but came out medium well. Burger was so over cooked and seasoned that you could not taste the lamb. Asked for no additional cheese on burger so they left out the arugala and the onion also. Side salad was meager. The main douses seemed very overpriced compared to other restaurants in the area. Had friends had next table and they had similar experience with their choices. Too bad ---the menu is good and the area can use a mediterranean dining spot, but they are so off the mark that I would not return.

Another friend had the branzino which was an extremely meager portion. The mussels and coconut ice cream were excellent. The wait staff were also excellent, although we ate dinner for almost 2.5 hours. The manger indicated it was their right to change the menu, even if it was only a week old. I thought it was a shady thing to do. I am sure all the diners there were there for the special menu.

My girlfriend and I visited Apeiro last weekend for the first time and it was excellent. We got there a little before our reservation and had drinks at the bar. Ridiculous selection and an overall great scene for West Delray. The bar reminded me of what I would find in SOBE but a little more chill and a good crowd. After a couple of drinks we were seated. We started with the Octopus (a must try), the hummus trio, and the Bunuelo (prosciutto, cheese, crispy deliciousness). We could have ordered multiple servings of the Bunuelo, it was that good. I had the Filet and my girlfriend had the chicken kabobs. We also shared the French Dip Gyro just because and it was melt in your mouth good. We ended the night peanut butter and chocolate napoleon. Really good dessert. Overall -- good service, the courses were spaced out nicely, the food was memorable, and the drinks kept flowing. Even though we live in East Delray, Apeiro is a restaurant we have added to our list of faves. Worth the short drive West for sure!

I can't say enough about Apeiro! My friends and I ended up here when we couldn't get a table at Burt and Max's at the last minute. They got us right in, service was outstanding and the food...yum! Will definitely be going back! On a side note, look out for the bathrooms. I had to visit one, as what usually happens after too many skinny margaritas and while entering the hall where the restrooms are, I noticed a guy loitering around outside the stalls. The restrooms are unisex and several were open, so he wasn't waiting to use one. Well, I got in there, closed the door (Which is a frosted glass deal...yes, the whole door is frosted glass) and when the lights came on automatically after closing the door it dawned on me that the hallway is much darker than the stalls when the lights are on. In other words, it was like a peep show where anyone in the hall can see your shadow as you do your business behind the frosted glass! As you can probably guess, I decided to hold it....

It's really so pretty inside! We've been here twice and had 2 good experiences. Apeiro has a decently sized cocktail/wine menu and a dinner menu that makes you want to order everything. I'm trying to eat on the healthier side these days so I asked for recommendations. We started with the "spreads" app - which had nice sized portions of pistachio yogurt, hummus, and eggplant caponata served with warm fresh pita. Then I had a beet salad with truffle vinaigrette and the octopus appetizer, which was charred to perfection. All these items were certainly filling. On my previous visit here I had the lamb ribs - and those are really delicious! The meat literally falls off the bones. I'll definitely be back to explore the menu more, as there were so many more things I wanted to try!

Hidden gem in a corner of a up and rising shopping/restaurant complex. Upon walking in you'll be blown away by the chic and bright interior. The restaurant itself has a modern but welcoming feel to it. The bar is huge and every thing is so clean and neat. There's so bar area seating up front then tables and booths towards the back. The booth seating is also large enough to fit parties up to 6 depending on the size of the party. Our server was very nice and attentive. My mom got the Bottomless Mimosa/Bellini option, which is available during brunch on weekends. I came here before for a Yelp event and tried the Peach Bellini and it was delicious! For the brunch option, you can choose between the 3 flavors so if you want to switch from strawberry Bellini to the orange mimosa then back to the peach Bellini, its totally ok, which is AWESOME!! We had the gazpacho, Bunuelo and Moroccan spiced lamb ribs. They're considered 'small plates' but they're large plates for my stomach size. The gazpacho is actually what drove me to come back after my event. It's great, refreshing and light. The Bunuelo was a bit different than what I expected as when I first sampled it, the cheese was inside the puff. The way it normally come is on the side and the puff pastry is hollow inside. The proscuitto is laid out and you have to eat it together on your own instead of having it prewrapped around the puff. Still very tasty though! The lamb ribs was a bit spicy and charred but the pistachio sauce it comes with makes everyhing better. Its very unique and definitely worth trying.

Last night my wife and I another couple went to Aperio. first let me tell you to make a reservation. Without it you may wait an hour like we did. However, it was worth it.When we were seated we were greeted by Marquita, our waitress. Very sweet and very good as you will read.Without going into minor details like bringing us water she gave us the specials as we read the menu. When she came to the skirt steak my cousin and I jumped on it. My wife ordered a burrito type thingy with a lovely salad on the plate. I also ordered the Gashpasho (I know I spelled it wrong and the speller can't correct it) which I must say was excellent and just right. My cousin ordered the onion soup which he gobbled up.He said it was very hot not spicy but delicious. Now we get serious. The steaks were to die for.I never had a skirt steak like this one. The seasoning was spectacular in a wine sauce with insy weensy diced potatoes and peas with tiny mushrooms that i wish I had now.Unfortunately for future restaurant goers the steak was a special and the waitress said they don't repeat it for awhile. We, folks were lucky. I will say the restaurant was noisy and hard to talk to each other but when the food came talking seamed unnecessary.

This is a gem. The style is chic while the atmosphere is relaxed due in part of how the staff engages with their customers in a friendly manner. You'll find a variety of seating to accommodate the need of your party. Enjoy the outside, lounge in the bar area, or choose a couple from a couple of dining sections. I was invited to a cocktail event last Wednesday. The bar was sexy with glass, uniformity and modern style. The bartenders served drinks Quickly and poised. I sampled 4 appetizers. I'm torn between the full flavored, juicy beef kabob served over grilled sweet peppers or the enticing super thin pizza with fresh mozzarella and bursting tomatoes. I love my beef! Each kabab was superbly cooked medium rare, flavorful and seasoned to perfection. The pizza I have to say was the best thin pizza I've had in 10 months which says a great deal since I eat out most of the week and have accumulated more than 30+ airplane rides during that timeframe. I also tried the the eggplant balls. Not the star. I found them flavorless. I also tried the fresh pitas created by the wood oven which greets you upon entrance. The pita bread is accompanied by 3 spreads: hummus, eggplant caponata and pistachio yogurt. The trio was a delight. Mediterranean cuisine here is very good. The atmosphere superb. A must restaurant whichever your occasion: a night out with friends, a date or a gathering with family. #aperiodelray #foodie

We sat outside because there was a long wait for a table inside, but this is Florida and we were attacked by gnats and flies. They were very accommodating and found us a table inside, even though it was very busy. My wife had the gazpacho and kale salad. Both excellent. They served the gazpacho like they do in Spain: first the vegetables then they pour the tomato mix over it. My father in law had the branzino: excellent. I had the special: park padelli duck ragu, also excellent. I usually don't eat duck, but this dish was outstanding. The waitress Lisa was unbelievable. She loves food, describes it beautifully and went out of her way to be helpful. Please ask for her if you eat there. She is the best!

I thought it was a shady thing to do. I am sure all the diners there were there for the special menu.

This restaurant is a homerun! Had a great experience from the beginning to the end of our meal. The restaurant has a cool vibe, great service and the food was AMAZING! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and I will definitely be back.

Indeed a very happy hour - or two.

Really really disappointing. We wanted to love it and didn't even like it. Food. Service and management didn't have a clue! Sad

We went because of the new $20 off-season menu. It was just launched this week. Well, they changed it and last night was the debut of the new new $20 off-season menu. They at least one item off, However, the BIG change is that now 2 people have to order off it and they must share the appetizer and dessert. Prior to that each person got their own half-appetizer and half-dessert. My food (the gyro) was dry with virtually no tzatziki sauce. My husband filet kabob was ok, my friend's was grainy.

This restaurant is a homerun! Had a great experience from the beginning to the end of our meal. The restaurant has a cool vibe, great service and the food was AMAZING! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and I will definitely be back.

Happy Hour "fixed price" selections yielded excellent quality. Hostess Erica remained professional, informative, and courteous. Critical acclaim for the restaurant proves quite indicative of our experience. -Founders Porter and Predator Zinfadel -Mussels in Saffron Cream Sauce -Rigatoni Bolognese -Bacon Wrapped Dates. Indeed a very happy hour - or two.

Came on Sunday for brunch. Normally good service and good food. Today, everyone was off their game. Took an hour to get food. Manager explained they were business than expected. But no one is here.....

Great atmosphere mixed with excellent food and service. Try out the bacon wrapped dates and the grilled calamari.

Still love this place but so wish they would bring back the swordfish kabob and have another starch besides the koshari rice
